Call to action

Yesterday, Senator Brattin offered up a last minute amendment to a bill that doesn't have anything to do with homeschooling. This amendment contains the exact language found in SB195/53 that MHA and HSLDA have OPPOSED. This amendment to SB190 would set in place government funding of homeschool families, and pave the way for regulation of homeschool families in Missouri.

Some may say that a tax credit is "optional", but we need only to look across the state line to Oklahoma to see what has happened to them since the passage of a tax credit for homeschoolers.

HSLDA and MHA are issuing an URGENT call to action. Please call and email your state Senator as tell them to Oppose amending SB190 to create government funding of homeschools.

Time is of the essence here. SB190 is set to be perfected (voted on) in the senate on Monday, March 31. Your Missouri Senator needs to hear from YOU.
